Family Session

I love lifestyle sessions becuase families are most comfortable in their own home, and it shows through their photos!

I got to photograph this sweet family, again! Originally, we were planning on doing a beautiful outdoor Christmas session. We were going to go downtown to the Riverwalk by the Gervais bridge, and I knew where and how I was going to photograph them! We anticipated it being cold, but of course the one day of the week we had plans to be outside, it wants to be the COLDEST day with winds that would reach up to 40 mph.

So, instead of freezing and it being super unbearable (especially for Adalyn!), we decided the day before our session to go from an outdoor session to a lifestyle session. Seeing how my car was swaying with the wind on the way to their house, and almost being blown away trying to get to their door, we knew we made the best decision!

I love lifestyle sessions because families are able to get ready and stay in their homes where they are most comfortable. They don't have to worry about rushing to get anywhere, or traveling with their little ones. They are in the comfort of their own space which makes for more natural looking pictures!

I love this family because our conversations are always so effortless! We're talking and laughing in between shots about being parents to tiny humans, and how our toddler consumed households are always spotless (haha). I loved that I was able to capture the Christmas season in their house. This is Adalyn's first Christmas, so it is so special to be able to freeze this moment in time for them! I am so grateful I had the opportunity to be their photographer, again.

I'd recommend sippin' on a hot, peppermint mocha from Starbucks while looking through their images! So yummy! Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to everyone!
